Swimmer Jarrod Bradfield will fly the flag for England during an international event at the Olympic Aquatic Centre.

The 15-year-old has cast aside his disappointment at missing out on a London 2012 trial by qualifying for the prestigious School Games.

He will represent the England East team and compete against rivals from Scotland, Ireland and Wales, as well as a visiting team from Brazil.

Bradfield, from Holland-on-Sea, said: “It was a fantastic to be picked, especially as there were only four spaces in the team up for grabs."
