Fifth defeat for Clacton
4:21pm Thursday 2nd September 2010
CLACTON fell to their fifth Gibbs Denley East Anglian Premier League defeat of the year with an eight-wicket loss at Saffron Walden.
Michael Comber top-scored for the Seasiders with 51, but his team-mates failed to back him up and the innings closed with just 133 for the bowlers to protect.
Lerutia Masekela did make an early breakthrough, but former Essex opener Jason Gallian calmly eased his way to 78 not out as Saffron Walden coasted home inside 33 overs.
